The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE) held their 30th Annual National Convention last November 22-26, 2005 at The Forum, PICC, CCP Complex in Pasay City.

Zenith Electrical showcased a wide range of innovative electrical products including: Appleton lightings, fittings, control units, and plugs & receptacles; Sola-Hevi DIN-rail mounted DC power supplies; Schuch weather proof and explosion proof lightings;  Walther plugs & receptacles; and Idec systems and controls products.

Foreign principals from Appleton and Idec also travelled to Manila to attend the exhibition to show support and assist with inquiries and meet with valued visitor customers.

This year's convention theme, "A Partner in National Development and Global Influence" gives emphasis to some of IIEE's major initiatives in support of the theme. As co-financer of the Philippine Efficient Lighting Market and Transformation Project, energy efficient lighting was tackled during the technical sessions of the IIEE convention.

sAnother major IIEE initiative during the convention is the staging of a 3-day Power Forum to prepare the players in the power sector for the full implementation of the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market next year under the Electrical Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA).
